A strange name that you might have never heard – and a region that’s kind of small, barely noticeable on the large map of Australia. But I’m ready to show you what’s worth noticing there!

The Illawarra region is a narrow coastal strip from the south western outskirts of Sydney down to the northern boundary with the Shoalhaven and south coast of New South Wales. The most well-known destinations in the region are Wollongong, Shellharbour and Kiama. And let’s see the best things to do there:
